The course covers basic anatomy and physiology of the main
body systems - cardiovascular, nervous, musculoskeletal etc.
This can be taken as a self-contained unit and used
as a foundation course in Anatomy and Physiology for any student
who is interested in complementary therapies, where their
chosen course does not cover this module.

10 modules cover:
- The body and basic medical terminology
- Cells and tissues
- Skeletal tissues, skeleton and muscles
- Respiratory system
- Digestive system
- Cardiovascular and lymphatic system
- Urinary system
- Reproductive system
- Nervous system
- Endocrine system

| Qualifications |
At the end of the course, students will
be required to sit a 3 hour exam. On successful completion
of all assignments and the exam, students will be entitled
to a Certificate in Anatomy and Physiology for Alternative
Therapies from the LSCH.
This course is recognised by the Bowen Association
